The Last Midweek of the School Year

The end of the school year is always a bittersweet time for me. Something that many people don't think about in Jr. High ministry is that we only get two years with students. They arrive on our door step as confused 7th graders and then we blink and they've grown 2-3 inches and are off to high school.  We had our last midweek of the school year last night and it's nights like last night that make me really reflect on the last year or two. I'm so grateful to the 8th graders that stuck in youth group through all of the transition time and even more grateful to you parents for having faith in me to drive the ministry forward. Thank you for bringing your sons and daughters every week to youth group because those memories that they're making will stay with them for the rest of their lives. They may not always remember my preaching, but the hope is that they will remember God's love for them through their memories of youth group.  Thank you for the last year and be praying for even more God things to happen next year!
